
A social, educational and recreational and home repair program with
adults ages 60 and above that meets Monday – Friday 9:30am-12 noon
with a meal provided by the Area Agency on Aging and occasional all day
field trips.
The goal of this program is to support adults in their senior years
and help them sustain a quality of life that promotes their well being
through good nutrition, free lunches, social interaction, recreational
activities, cultural experiences and safety in their home.

Activities include:
- Bingo for prizes
- Jigsaw puzzle assembly
- Music and Line Dancing
- Exercise and Nutrition Education
- Arts and Crafts including – Candle holders, scrapbook pages
- Needlework – Crocheting, Knitting
- Guided Reflection and Prayer Support

Home Maintenance and Repair includes:
- Interior and Exterior painting
- Securing handrails
- Repairing/replacing flooring
- Repairing minor leaks
- Cleaning
- Yard Maintenance
- Fence Repair

Field Trips to:
- Nelson Art Museum
- Wyandotte County Park
- Parkville
- Jacomo Lake
- Louisburg Cider Mill
- Shopping Centers
- Other places as suggested by the group.

As many as 35 adults participate in this weekday program and we welcome anyone
age 60 and above. Spanish speaking and English speaking adults are welcome
to participate. Language translation is available.
Volunteers are needed to lead various arts and crafts including crocheting,
quilting projects, stained glass and assist with minor home repairs.
