Early Refugee School Impact
Purpose
The purpose of the Early Refugee School Impact (ERSI) program is to promote access to childcare, to ensure that ORR-eligible children are prepared to succeed in formal schooling, and to holistically serve families of eligible children. ERSI raises the quality of services to children and families across the birth-to-kindergarten continuum.

Eligibility

Immigration Status – All ORR-eligible populations, described in Immigration Status.

Time in the U.S. – Clients within 5 years or 60 months of their original date of eligibility. Priority of services should be given to those who have been in the U.S. for 1 year or less.

Residency – Must reside in the state of Kansas.

ORR-eligible families with children from birth until the age they enter school are eligible for ERSI programming.
